Dresser-Rand Guascor® FGLD Engine Series
The Dresser-Rand Guascor® lean burn, mechanically carbureted, FGLD engine series ranges from 260 to 800 kWb (349 to 1073 hp). These gas engines have been designed to operate with a variety of fuel types and in extreme environmental conditions.
This engine series is commonly used in cogeneration facilities with natural gas at high temperatures in cooling circuits and with biogas in various applications where electrical efficiency, easy operation and service, and high flexibility of operation are required.
Output range from 260 to 800 kWb (1500 – 1800 rpm)
Powered by natural gas, biogas, landfill gas, and sewage gas
Supplied as a stand-alone engine, generator genset, with cogeneration systems (CHP) skid separately, or in a fully assembled container unit (noise insulated if required)
Features include:
Inspection doors on both sides
Suspended crankshaft
Diagonally split connecting rods
Bimetallic bearings for connecting rods and crankshaft
Aluminum alloy pistons with three rings and reduced lube oil consumption
Cast individual cylinder heads, with four valves extra lubricated to avoid corrosion problems with high sulfur gases
Electric or pneumatic starter
High cooling temperature options (120°C in main circuit and 80°C in auxiliary circuit) for special cogeneration requirements
High performance turbocharger
Electronically controlled ignition system
